We’re thrilled to share our latest project: an 8,000 sq ft glass house in King City, Ontario, designed by the renowned architect Phil Lamadeleine. This modern masterpiece required lighting solutions that not only complemented its sleek, transparent design but also integrated the latest technology and aesthetic trends in home lighting.
At Nuordic, we took on the challenge of designing, supplying, and installing all the architectural lights throughout this stunning residence. Our team worked closely with the architect to ensure that every light fixture enhanced the natural flow of the space while delivering optimal functionality and energy efficiency.
From the seamless integration of potlights in the open-concept living areas to the strategic placement of linear LED lights that accentuate the home’s unique architectural features, our lighting design adds both warmth and sophistication to this modern home. Each lighting element was carefully selected and installed to meet the highest standards of modern luxury, ensuring that this glass house not only looks breathtaking but also feels inviting and comfortable at all times of day.

Innovative Lighting Control Systems
To complement the sophisticated lighting design of this glass house, we integrated state-of-the-art lighting control systems. These systems allow the homeowners to effortlessly adjust the lighting ambiance throughout the home, whether it’s creating a cozy atmosphere in the evening or brightening the space during the day. Our approach to lighting design for this project was centered around the use of linear lights and specialty potlights. Inside the home, we strategically installed linear LED lights to accentuate the clean lines and expansive glass surfaces. These linear lights create a sense of continuity and flow throughout the living spaces, providing both functional illumination and an elegant aesthetic. The result is a lighting design that not only highlights the architectural beauty of the house but also contributes to the overall ambiance and mood.
For areas that demanded more focused lighting, we employed our specialty potlights. These were carefully placed to provide precise lighting in key areas such as the kitchen, bathrooms, and hallways. The potlights were selected and installed to ensure minimal intrusion into the home’s sleek design, offering powerful yet discreet illumination that complements the linear lighting.
The exterior of the house was treated with the same level of attention to detail. We used a combination of linear lights and specialty potlights to illuminate the outdoor spaces, highlighting the home’s unique architecture even after sunset. The exterior lighting not only enhances the home’s curb appeal but also ensures safety and visibility, making it as striking by night as it is by day.
